In the summer of 2017, our library was made over into a new Makerspace. By creating our Makerspace, we are able to provide students and teachers with a versatile location for projects, collaboration and STREAM learning. Our Makerspace utilizes flexible seating options that they deem as deem as comfortable so their focus can be on learning. We have also transitioned to mobile computing devices in our new space.  Working on laptops, chromebooks and IPads allows students to work together more effectively because they can move freely throughout the room.  Being able to put these devices away also frees up table space for other types of work that students may need to complete.  In our Makerspace, we have also expanded our library book selection.  Students are able to check out many new biographies and non-fiction resources that support their classroom curriculum.
