Middle School Math Teacher

  • Candidate will maintain a safe, organized classroom, which supports students’ independent learning, collaboration and choice
  • Utilizes a variety of effective instructional and management techniques
  • Candidate will be responsible for the Math Curriculum for Grades 6-8
​Qualifications:
  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education
  • NYS Certification in Elementary Education
  • Certified 7-12 in Math- Concentration in Algebra

Substitute Teachers  

As needed for Grades Pre-K - 8th Grade. 
  • Qualifications/Skills: Certification preferred, although not required
  • Candidate will: provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.
    • Create a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
    • Maintain an established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned. 
    • Communicate effectively with parents when needed. 
    • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Hours: As Needed 
  • Salary: Commensurate DOE​

Grant Writer

We are looking to hire a dedicated grant writer to write grant proposals. The grant writer will write coherent, organized, and compelling proposals. You will apply your knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach income goals. 
  • Displaying adherence to Southtowns' mission
  • Maintaining proficient knowledge of our history and programs
  • Identifying grant funding opportunities
  • Writing, submitting, and managing grant proposals
  • Maintaining records and monitors tracking data
