The purpose of the HSA is to foster the best interest of the student body through the mutual cooperation of the Pastor, Parents, Principal, and Faculty of Southtowns Catholic School.
The HSA's goal is to foster a nurturing and caring environment that strives for continued parent involvement in helping build a better educational environment for our children. Through fundraising efforts, the HSA raises funds to purchase educational materials and equipment for the school, and be involved in efforts to help the local community. Funds are used support the following important school activities: Transportation for Field Trips Teacher Supplies Teacher Gifts 8th Grade Ribbon Day Celebration & Graduation Support Pre-School Donations For the HSA to be effective and a true representation of the school, it is essential to have parental involvement from all parents. The HSA holds regular monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month. All meetings are at 6:30 pm at school. Please consider joining us. Keep in mind that by being involved, you will get to enjoy interacting with the kids, become friends with other parents, and accomplish things that truly make a difference. The Diocese of Buffalo mandates that all SCS employees, volunteers and coaches must attend a "Protecting God's Children" workshop. Scroll down the left side of the page and click on "Protecting God's Children" tab and register. If you haven't turned in your Diocesan Volunteer Form or Code of Conduct Form, please do so as soon possible. Please remember that to volunteer or coach, you must take this workshop and update the Virtus Training Bulletins. |
