Monday and Tuesday, Buffalo Diocesan elementary schools gathered together to compete in the annual Diocesan Track Meet. Tuesday was Southtowns Catholic's chance to shine and our athletes did not disappoint. When we say it was hot and sunny out on the bleachers and track that's an understatement! There's no shade on the St. Francis track. But our students gave it their absolute best in that heat and radiating sun and we could not be more proud of them. Our girls placed 2nd overall. Our ladies are fierce, but we already know that. Overall, our entire team, placed 2nd! We're so proud of them!
A huge thank you to their coaches, Mrs. Anna Smith and Mrs. Lauren Lobur. Thank you both for stepping in last minute to coach this team! As always, thank you to our Athletic Director, Mr. Brian Ferris. Where would we be without you?
Thanks to the parents who came out to support our kiddos yesterday! Thanks for braving the heat, being our cheerleaders, making sure our kids stayed hydrated, and passing out lunches. You ladies made yesterday a little bit easier and SCS athletes (and staff!) appreciate you!
