Mrs. Cooper’s 7th Grade Spanish class is designing Sugar Skull candles to be displayed on the ofrenda (altar) in the school hallway for El dia de los Muertos. El dia de los, or Day of the Dead, is a Holiday celebrated in Mexico on November 1st and 2nd honoring the souls of the departed. Sugar Skulls represent the person who had died with bright colors, glitter and big smiles.
