Today we celebrate the feast of St. Nicholas, who became the inspiration for modern-day Santa Claus. Before Santa Claus left presents under the tree, there was St. Nicholas, who anonymously gave away his wealth to the poor.
To celebrate, we had a small prayer service with Fr. Mike for all students. A very special guest even joined us...St. Nicholas himself! St. Nicholas and Fr. Mike handed out candy canes to everyone on the way out of the service. Afterward, they went around to all the classrooms where students either left out their shoes or had paper-made shoes ready for them to leave chocolate gold coins in.
