Last Friday, student-athletes, coaches, and their families gathered together for our athletic banquet. This is our opportunity to acknowledge our athletes and thank the coaches and parents for all they have done to support our sports teams over the year. It was a record-breaking year for SCS sports. Our sports teams consistently brought home trophies. We are officially out of room in the trophy case (and we're not complaining!) We have an Atletic Program to be proud of. We may not have the fanciest uniforms, but our teams bring home championships yearly. Every year we have a least one banner to hang in the gym, and that's something to be proud of. Our girls especially outdid themselves this year! 4 championships!
Southtowns Catholic School is so proud of each and every student here and when a student brings that determination and resilience onto a court or field, we truly admire them.
We want to thank all of the coaches who made this year possible: Jaimie Wasiewicz, Amanda West, Matt Gerace, Russ Clark, Candace Densmore, The Wagners, Vince McKeown, Steve Zielinski, Brian Davis, Jason Florea, Nick Calorico, and Anna Smith. We know coaching took away from family time and free time, so we appreciate the time you put into your team!
A huge, huge thank you goes out to Brian Ferris for all the work he puts into the Altetic Program here at SCS and across the Diocese. Brian has truly built something here and for that we thank him. For all the time he puts into coaching and organizing, we appreciate him (and his family!).
Thank you to everyone who came out on Friday. And thank you to those who helped with organizing: Amy McCarthy and Anna Smith!
