Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon announced that on Jan. 29, 2016 would be Judith MacDonald Day in Erie County in recognition for her 33 years of dedication to Catholic education in Erie County. Legislator Dixon presented the proclamation to Mrs. MacDonald, principal of Southtowns Catholic School of St. John Paul II Parish in Lake View, during a ceremony held Friday, January 22, 2016. The proclamation also recognizes that Principal MacDonald is the recipient of the 2016 Sister Lucille Socciarelli/Father John Sturm Making a Difference Award from the Diocese of Buffalo, which was presented at the GALA 22:6 celebration of Catholic education at the Buffalo Convention Center on Thursday, Jan. 28.
