School Review Survey

3/7/2019

Dear School Parents:

The Department of Education in the Diocese of Buffalo supports our schools through a variety of services. Some of these services include professional development for teachers, legal and financial advice, grant writing, marketing, payroll support, curriculum development, textbook adoptions, quotes for capital improvements and consultation on special projects as needed.

This year we have added School Reviews to our services at no cost to schools. The purpose of a school review is to offer advice to pastors, school boards, business managers, and principals on ways to strengthen academic programs, keep tuition rates affordable, and enhance all aspects of the school's operations. This service is provided only at the request of a school and many this year have requested it; including your school.

A school review begins with a parent survey. We are interested in learning your impressions regarding your school and the quality of the education your children receive there. Complete the online survey for your school at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/L589JFR   Please complete this survey within one week upon receipt of this letter. The survey is confidential.

Following the survey, a team of professionals will visit your school. They will be reviewing many aspects of the school organization and meeting with the administration, school board and staff. Data will be collected and a report will be shared with them on the results of the school review.

The Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Buffalo continue to be educational leaders and they are to be commended for their interest in promoting school excellence.

Thank you, in advance for your cooperation and support.

Sincerely,
Dr. Michael C. LaFever
Superintendent of Schools
