Meet Mrs. Katra
Hi! My name is Joy Katra and I teach in the Preschool 3 year old program and the Kindergarten Readiness class. I started working at Southtowns Catholic School 7 years ago as a substitute teacher. During that time I helped with the preschool program on a regular basis. When a position opened up in the preschool program I was fortunate enough to be offered the job. I feel very blessed to work with our youngest students here at Southtowns Catholic School. It is very important to me for children have a positive first impression of school. This year I also took on the role as STREAM coordinator. I’m looking forward to bringing new STREAM activities, field trips and speakers to our school. My husband and I have two daughters. My older daughter is a sophomore at Nardin Academy, my younger daughter is in 6th grade here at SCS. We are members of St John Paul II Parish and volunteer at both the school and parish whenever possible. I feel so blessed to be part of this wonderful community!
