On a cold, rainy, and muddy Saturday afternoon the Southtowns Catholic Chargers JV soccer team won the Championship of the Baker Division. The Chargers came away with the 1-0 victory in overtime over St Peter and Paul. Cailum Irwin scored the only goal of the day 3 minutes into the ten minute overtime and the rest of the JV Chargers played great defense the rest of the overtime period to come away with the victory. In the victory David Girdlestone made 8 saves in goal and Carley Lopez was awarded the Sportsmanship trophy for her great defensive play. Congratulations to all the Chargers in a great season as they finished the season with 4 wins 1 loss and 2 ties.
