Dear Kindergarten to Grade 2 Families,
On Tuesday, September 27, kindergarten - second graders will be visiting “Harvest Happenings” in Forestville, New York. Students will have the opportunity to celebrate fall while visiting a grape farm! Our field trip will include tasting grapes and a variety of grape juices, a hayride through decorated vineyards and a visit with farm animals. The students will also take home a small pumpkin.
Parent Helpers: There is only room for three parents per class. If you are interested in joining us, please let your child’s teacher know. Unfortunately, we do not have any room on the bus for parents. You will need to either meet us at school or at Harvest Happenings. The price for parents is $5.00 and all money should be sent in by Wednesday, September 21.
WHAT TO WEAR: Please send your child to school in his/her gym uniform. Your child may also wear old sneakers or boots on our trip, along with the appropriate jacket. This is a rain or shine event!
WHAT TO BRING: Please send in a bagged lunch and a snack for your child. We will have time to eat our lunch while at Harvest Happenings.
This should be an exciting field trip! Permission slips went home in backpacks, please return it, along with $8.00 (cash or check) to school by Wednesday, September 21. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns regarding this field trip.
