Mrs. Lisa Johnson's Grade 1 class is working with apples. They made apple sauce in a crock pot and wrote their own apple sauce cook book. The unit included talking about the life cycle of an apple tree and learning the story of Adam and Eve eating the apple from the tree of knowledge. When the unit was done, the kids illustrated an apple poem and then for science, they did an apple buoyancy experiment.
