On Tuesday, May 9th, Southtowns Catholic School Preschool 3 took a field trip to Chiavetta's Greenhouse in Angola. Mrs. Kellie Chiavetta explained what seeds do, read them a book about what flowers need to grow and had a diagram with flowers and seeds. The students each got a marigold, a pot and some dirt. After assembling their plant, they got to take it home for Mother's Day. The next event on their list was a scavenger hunt to look for flowers. Mrs. Chiavetta gave the kids a picture of the many flowers that they have in their greenhouse and the kids then set out to find them. Thank you Mrs. Chiavetta for a wonderful day!
