Our Chess Club met today and had a great time! Chess increases problem-solving skills: A chess match requires fast thinking and problem-solving on the fly because your opponent is constantly changing the parameters. They meet every Tuesday & Thursday throughout the school year

Hello Southtowns Chess Club,

I hope you're doing well! I’m reaching out to offer your club a free copy of a chess puzzle book I recently wrote. It’s designed for players of all levels and focuses on practical patterns—checkmates, tactical motifs, and endgame ideas.

The book includes 600 puzzles (mates in 1–3, forks, pins, skewers), all with clear explanations and solutions. I also share a bit about my own journey with chess and why I believe pattern recognition is key to improvement.

If you’re interested, I’d love to send a complimentary copy your way—no strings attached. Your feedback (or your club’s) would mean a lot as I work on future editions.

Just let me know where to send it. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best,
Waskar Veloz
