Mass: Please join us at the 9:30am Mass and then for coffee and donuts in the gym.
Open House: SCS will have their Open House for future families to check out our school. Open house will start immediately after Mass with donuts and coffee.
Dress: Please have your child in his/her SCS uniform at church.
Please visit our Book Fair this week! The students will have a chance to visit the Book Fair with their class during the school day this week.
NEW: “Southtowns Hero” will be honored each day this week!
A card for each person will be signed by each student in school.
Monday, January 28th, Celebrate Community!
Southtowns Catholic School is SUPER! To kick off our SUPER week at our SUPER school we will be dressing in team gear as we get ready for the SUPER Bowl. Please bring in a can of SOUP or other non perishable food item that will be donated to the local food pantry.
Dress: Students will be able to dress down in any sports team clothing. This may be any sport. This could be a professional sports team, or a team you are even on!
Gym: Students in gym classes today will be having a special “hockey shootout” contest. Mr. West could be combining some classes today and including them in gym.
Gather: Father Mike will be coming to classes to discuss “Vocations.”

Tuesday, January 29th, Celebrate Students!
Dress: PAJAMA DAY! Wear you PJ’s to school! Students can bring in a pillow/favorite stuffed animal (NO SLIPPERS.) Students bring in $1 donation for Catholic Charities.
Movie Day! At 12:30pm, classes will partner up to watch a movie of their choice. (Younger grades may want to start at 1:00 if the duration of sitting is better!) Students may bring in snacks to munch on as well.
Wednesday, January 30th, Celebrate the Nation!
Dress: Red, White and Blue Day! Donate a household/toiletry item to the Ronald McDonald House! (A list of items will be available on website.)
Gather: Please meet in the gym at 8:30 for announcements. After announcements, Legislature Lynne Dixon will be here to launch her “Valentines for Veterans” project which SCS will be participating in.
Students will gather in the gym at 12:40. The awards for “Southtowns Heroes” will be presented at this time. Quizmaster 1:00 in gym.

Thursday, January 31st, Celebrate Vocations!
Dress: Decade Day! Students in grades 4-8 can dress up according to what genre of music they will be performing to. Students in grades PreK-3 can dress up according to the genre of music that the grade they are “supporting” will be performing to.
Writing & Poster Contest: The winner of the Southtowns Catholic School Writing and Poster Contest will be announced as the school gathers at 9:00 in the gym. (This is a poster and writing contest that K-8th graders participated in.)
Lip Sync Battle: Students and parents are invited to our CSW Lip Sync Battle at 9:00am in the gym.

Valentines for Veterans must be completed by 1:30 today and given to Ms. McDowell. Legislator Lynne Dixon will be picking them up today.
Assembly: Everyone will meet in the gym for BINGO and ice cream at 1:00pm! Students will sit with an older buddy to play BINGO. Each student will have his/her own board. If your buddy wins, you win too!
