Today we celebrated our 8th-grade class and the beginning of their journey off to high school with the long-standing tradition of the 8th Grade Ribbon Ceremony. The ribbons signify the remaining time the 8th-graders have here at Southtowns and the memories they share. The class prepared and read in today's Mass and it was our first Mass with our new pastor, Fr. Tim Koester. What a special first it was for Fr. Tim.
Today would not have been as memorable if it were not for those working behind the scenes and preparing and delivering the delicious brunch: Mrs. McCabe, Mr. McCabe, and Mr. Manley. Thank you to our 7th-grade class for hosting the brunch and of course their parents: especially Mrs. Battista and Mrs. Florea. Thank you to Mrs. Carney and Mr. Buskirk for all of your help today as well. A very special thanks to Mrs. Katra for her craftiness in making the beautiful ribbons. We appreciate you always doing this! A huge thank you to Mrs. Cooper and Mrs. Manely for their hard work organizing this wonderful event for our 8th-grade class.
Congratulations
8th-grade, you're one step closer to graduation!
