On Thursday, May 17th, Southtowns Catholic School Preschool 3 took their annual field trip to Chiavetta's Greenhouse in Angola. Miss Justine Chiavetta explained what seeds do, read a book about what flowers need to grow and had a diagram with flowers and seeds. The students each got a marigold, a pot and some dirt. After assembling their plant, they got to take it home. The next event on their list was a scavenger hunt to look for flowers. Miss Chiavetta gave the kids a picture of the many flowers that they have in their greenhouse and the kids then set out to find them. Thank you Chiavetta's for a wonderful day!
