Mrs. Grad's 1st-grade class has been learning about light waves and whether an item is transparent, translucent, or opaque. They ran an experiment where the students sorted items into those categories. They were given a small square made of different materials and held it up to the light to see if they could see their finger clearly, kind of, or not at all. Then they sorted them.
