Emergency Information

At the beginning of each school year parents/guardians are sent an Emergency Information Form.

In case of emergency, each student is required to have the following information on file at the School and Health Office:

- Parent(s) or Guardian(s) Name(s)
- Complete and Up-to-Date Address
- Home, Cell & Parent(s) work Telephone Numbers
- Emergency Telephone Number of the nearest Relative/Neighbor
- Physician’s Name and Telephone Number
- Medical Alert Information (Confidential)
- Alternate Destination in case of early release for an emergency or cancellation  of school.

Illness or Injury
In the event of illness or injury, the school nurse or a member of the school staff will care for a student temporarily. If emergency medical treatment is necessary, the parents will be contacted. If no one can be reached including the emergency telephone numbers on file in the office, the student will be taken to the Emergency Room/Hospital.

Note : This is one of the important reasons emergency telephone numbers must be on file.

Emergency Release / Cancellation of School

In the event of BAD WEATHER, Southtowns Catholic School will be closed if either Frontier Central or Lake Shore Central School Districts are closed. Please check the TV Stations (WGRZ), WBEN Radio and the School Website.

In case if an emergency and school must be canceled during the school day, Parents will be notified. Parents are required to complete the EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION FORM which designates an alternative destination for their child(ren) in the event no one is at home. Emergency numbers must also be kept up to date.

In case if an EMERGENCY EVACUATION, Southtowns Catholic School will notify all parents with specifics of the emergency. If required to evacuate the building, we will go to the Lake View Fire Hall on Lakeview Road. Parents will pick up their child(ren) at that location if we are unable to bus them home or to the emergency drop off site indicated by the parent.

When school is closed because of an emergency or inclement weather there will be no after school activities, including sports.
