Principal - Mr. Marc Bandelian
Happy Fall! I cannot believe that we have been in school for a month now. The days are flying by. There has been some great things going on in the school in just a short amount of time. Everyone is adjusting well to the changes of the classrooms.
Congratulations to the students who were awarded “Student of the Month” for both academic and for the Virtue of Charity. This month’s virtue is “Friendship”
Dress Code: Last night at the HSA Meeting the topic of “leggings” was brought up. After the discussion, it was agreed upon that a further look into the policy will take place. Until that happens, the policy stands and there is to be no leggings worn either on a regular school day or a dress down day.
We have had good success in the cafeteria so far this year. The students really are enjoying the two popular items of “Taco in a Bag” and Pizza on Thursdays provided to us by Lakeview Corner Store. We are almost complete in setting up the program where you can put money on your child’s account. Even though our counts are higher this year; in order for the cafeteria to succeed we need full support from you. If you or your child has any ideas for lunches please submit them to Miss Nicole in the cafeteria. She is always open to new ideas.
If you haven’t already done so, please fill out the free/reduced lunch application and turn it in to the school office. If your family qualifies, there is a deadline of October 31st. Please get them in asap.
I am still in need of volunteers to help monitor the cafeteria. If any grandparents would like to help, please have them contact me.
New Water Fountains:
The new water fountains have arrived. We are working on details to get them installed. Thank you to all who have donated their cans and bottles. Please continue to bring in your cans and bottles. We are working on other items that those monies could be used for.
I would like to Welcome Back Mrs. Hedges to Kindergarten. Mrs. Hedges was out on leave to spend time with her beautiful new baby boy! She will return this Monday, October 7th. Thank you to Mrs. Erickson who has done a fantastic job while Mrs. Hedges was out.
