Dear Parents,

As we continue celebrating the season of Lent and Easter is right around the corner; I continue to pray that you and your families remain healthy and safe.  Lent is a time for renewal in our lives.  It is a time to recharge and refresh after these long Winter months.

HEALTH NEWS:

Just a reminder; if your child wants to participate in any sport we need to have an updated physical on file in the nurses office in order for your child(ren) to participate.

MUSICAL UPDATE:
Call Back Auditions for this Springs Musical “The Wizard of Oz” will be held March 1,2 and 3 with Mrs. Overby and a panel of judges.  Students need to be prepared with lines and any song the character would sing (if it’s a solo)

PICKUPS FOR GRADES 6-8:
To ease the congestion of cars during dismissal; all students in Grades 6-8 who are being picked up may go right to the car that is picking them up.  Parents of Grades 6-8; if you back into the spots along the woods in front of the Main Church; then your child will be able to go to the car, and you will not have to wait in line.  Please inform your child that you will be doing this; we will send them right out to you.

REGISTRATION FOR 2023-2024:
Registration will open this Wednesday, March 1st for all who are interested.  Current families who have not yet registered for next year need to get all information turned in as soon as possible.  Don’t risk losing a spot for your child.

STRATEGIC PLANNING PROGRAM
As you are aware Southtowns Catholic School has been participating in a Strategic Plan Pilot Program sponsored by the Diocese of Buffalo.  There have been 3 work sessions already completed.  We have focused on the following topics thus far; Finance, Enrollment/Marketing and Development/Raising Money.  I want to thank the school improvement team (S.I.T.) for all their hard work and time they have spent attending meetings and completing the required documents needed for each session.
 REMINDERS:

All students must be in their homerooms by 8:00AM.  There are important activities that take place within the classrooms before I start Morning Announcements at 8:10AM.

Please make sure you send in a note with your child if they are doing something different for dismissal.  We need to make sure your children get safely home.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
