Instruments

I have created a lesson schedule and arranged for time in which the full ensemble will practice. Each student will need his or her own instrument to participate in playing. Instruments can be rented or purchased, perhaps most easily through a local store such as Hamburg Music Center or Al Hemer Music. These stores are very reputable and trustworthy to give you the best instruments for your child. I always advise parents to avoid instrument deals that seem "Too good to be true" as there are cheap re-creations of instruments that will easily break or have a flaw or defect to their sound.

Concert Attendance Policy: Attendance and participation at the concert is considered the Mid-Term and Final Exam for music. ALL EXCUSED OR UNEXCUSED ABSENCES WILL REQUIRE THIS GRADE TO BE MADE UP. A project will be assigned to students that do not show up to the concert or are removed for behavior issues.

CONCERT REMINDER:

Band students should remember to bring music and instrument!
Thank You

Lessons

2020: As soon as we have clearance for performing/playing on musical instruments we will start our Instrumental Music Program

Attending lessons is a RESPONSIBILITY of playing an instrument, and therefore a responsibility of the student. This teaches the student proper planning and organization. Therefore, any potential conflicts (tests, labs, quizzes, etc...) should be planned for accordingly. I am happy to make arrangements to reschedule a lesson as a result of a conflict, however, the student must bring the conflict to my attention before it occurs (No "Oh, by the way I missed my lesson because I had a test will be accepted after the fact").

If your son/daughter would like to play an instrument for 2019 please fill this form out and send it in ASAP. Thank You.
