The Spanish curriculum at Southtowns Catholic School was designed to meet the standards set forth by New York State. The Primary Goal of the Spanish department is to
develop a higher proficiency in the Spanish language, both written and spoken.
Tests: Will be given, especially to JR high students,at the conclusion of each unit. The students will recieve 5 days to a weeks notice of upcoming tests. Elementarty
students can expect tests as well but with less frequency.
Homework: will be assigned frequently to reinforce and practice the concepts learned in class. If time allows, I will let the children begin their homework in class. Homework is expected
to be turned in at the beginning of the next Spanish class. Late homework will lose ten points the first day, and will receive a 0 if later than that.
Absences/ Extra help: If your child is absent on the day their class has Spanish it is their responsibilty to make up the missed work. If your child is struggling in Spanish, extra
help is available. Please contact me at school or through email.
