Southtowns Catholic Athletic Fee
Because of the rising costs of league fees, equipment and uniforms, a decision was jointly made to institute the following Athletic Fee beginning in September 2009 by the Athletic Committee, the Home School Association Board, the School Board Executive Committee, and Mrs. MacDonald.
Athletes in Grades 4 - 8: $30 for the year
Athletes in Grades 1-3: $10 for the year
In addition to the revenue raised by the Basketball Tournament, this fee will help cover the costs of leagues, referees, tournaments, equipment and uniforms.
THIS FEE WILL BE COLLECTED ONCE IN THE FALL
FOR THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR.
Please send your payment to school ATTN: Suzy McCarthy
If you feel that this fee will prohibit your child(ren) from participating in school sports, please contact Molly Rath (mrath218@gmail.com) to discuss options.
An information memo will be sent home in the October Communication Envelope.
Sports Physicals
Southtowns Catholic School abides by the policies set forth by the Department of Catholic Education Athletic Handbook and the Frontier School District.
Any student interested in participating on a Southtowns Catholic sports team during this school year MUST have a valid physical. The physical must have been done within 12 months of the end of the season, and the school nurse must have proof from your doctor.
Any student not in compliance with this requirement will not be able to participate in athletics in any way (practice or games) until the sports physical has been completed. More information on this policy is available in the Athletic Handbook available in the school office, from Mrs. MacDonald, Principal or from the school nurse, Mrs. Radens.
